the difference between laziness and executive dysfunction
Laziness: “There’s a thing I have to do, but I don’t wanna do it, so I’m choosing to go and do other things instead. The thing may cause me stress in the future, but for the time being I don’t really care about it”
Executive dysfunction: “There’s a thing I have to do, I’ve been trying to get started on it for the past few hours but I can’t get going. Not being able to do the thing is currently causing me a lot of stress, but it seems that all I can do for the time being is just sit here”
